That’s a good question. If you’d asked me Monday, I would’ve said: “These people are using the most powerful public commentary tool at their disposal, but I don’t know if it’ll help.”

But Friday may have been a tipping point. Trump appears to have blinked.

I don’t have the articles here at the moment, but after a series of cases blocked DOGE from accessing the Treasury (temp), blocked Trump’s anti-DEI policies for violating the first and fifth amendment (active; may be appealed), and even the Supreme Court voting against Trump’s case—even if it only maintained a pause while lower courts decide—well… let’s just say their actions may have had a far reaching impact, just like with the Watergate resignations.

Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope Republicans find their spines and stand up against blatantly illegal actions coming from their president.
